Signing into class for the first day, Wednesday, August 12

We are still waiting for the District to finalize setting up Canvas (the school's new Internet platform). Once they do that, we will be able to set up Webex meetings for each class for the first day and for the remaining days.

If for some reason, that does not happen before Wednesday, check here and I will be posting a Webex meeting invitation. Check here for that link. The school's main home page also may be listing the Webex links for the first day if Canvas is not operational as well.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon, Mr. Kerwin

Lecture on Age of Uncertainty

I have posted a lecture on the Age of Uncertainty for you to watch and take notes on. I have broken down the lecture into two videos. You can take notes either on paper or directly on the Google Form that I have created. The Google Form is in your Google Classroom. This assignment is due Friday, but it is paired with the homework for 13.1 which is due on Wednesday.

Some of you still have not signed into the newly created Google Classroom. Here is the information you will need to do that:

Class periods and its corresponding class code which you can use to enter the Google Classroom:

Update on World History - Tuesday, March 24

Hello, all,

I hope you and your families are doing well during this time. As you know, there is no graded homework at this time, but I am making some resources available in the Files and Links page of my web site. At this time, you should just be reviewing the material we have covered on WWI so far as well as the assignments that was originally assigned at the start of the unit. For these last few assignment, they will not be graded at this time and you would have some time when you come back to school to complete them before I would make them due.

As with last semester, the final that I had planned for this semester would just have been a test on the last unit/chapter we would have covered. If we do go back to school or do have a final, it would not be cumulative, but just cover the last unit we studied. Therefore, there is no need to review material from before the WWI unit.

The review materials on the Files and Links page has some WWI Oversimplified videos as well as some videos from Khan Academy. In addition, there is a review packet on WWI. It has some information that you can read about WWI as well as some activities that I would encourage you to look at. However, again there is no graded work for this period.

Keep checking the web site for new posts as we move forward and learn more about when and how we will be finishing up the end of the school year.

Please also feel free to contact me with questions or if you would like me to review any work that you may choose to do.

Sincerely, Mr. Kerwin

Chapter 1 Test pushed back one day

Because of the rally week schedule for the week of August 26th, Monday will be a 2/4/6 day and we will not have full time to cover all the material. The test for first and third periods will be on Thursday, August 29 and for sixth period it will be on Friday, August 30 (rally schedule).
